I will be sworn in to this VFW on 5/23/24. Only been there once but was truly impressed with what I saw: a new Commander who has indeed taken charge. This Chapter is now on the fast track to becoming what every VFW should be. A place of Honor, Respect (not only for what all veterans have accomplished but for our community as well) and pride in our God, Flag and Families. We are United States' Veterans and here we can stand united once more.
Checked out several campgrounds, but VFW Post 1142 nails it with well-maintained facilities and great community events. It's a solid pick for families and vets alike. Very helpful and friendly. Nice open location with full hookups.
A gem on the banks of the yadkin river! The recreational amenities at VFW Post 1142 & Campground are decent enough—plenty of space and activities to keep you occupied. Good for a quiet weekend.
